Geum coccineum, (true form)is a clump-forming perennial which typically forms a basal foliage mound of green leaves with very large terminal leaflets collected by Archibald in the Himalayas many years ago (c1994.) In late spring, erect, wiry, branching flowering stems of 5 petaled red-orange flowers. Flowering from late October to December. Flowers are followed by fluffy seed heads.
