Although it is tender in our damp climate especially in the spring it is root hardy to overwinter in the garden. Last year my lone remaining plant produced enough propagation material to get some plants underway. Unfortunately this plant does not produce seed in NZ. A spectacular tuberous perennial native to Bolivia. Long, drooping inflorescences of deep blue flowers with large green calyces and conspicuous, persistent, blue-tinged bracts. SOLD OUT |
